Life with Words

“All writing is re-writing.” — John Dufresne

I am a writer and educator living in the shadow of the Blue Ridge mountains. I have published fiction, non-fiction, essays, and photographs in a wide variety of publications; including newspapers, such as The Charlotte Observer, The Greenville News, (SC) The Salisbury Post (NC), Magazines, including Writer’s Digest and Blue Ridge Country, Literary Journals, Including Catfish Review, The Petigru Review, Ruminate, Coffin Bell, Blackheart and Flash Fiction magazine. I have won national acclaim for my poetry and regional awards for my photographs. I have written four novels. I have been an educator for over thirty years and currently teach creative writing and facilitate a writer’s workshop. I am also a writing coach with the goal of helping writers do their best work, whether for traditional publishing, self-publishing, or personal satisfaction.
